Help keep Paws Safe

30th March 2021

In mid March, a very distressing incident occurred at PAWS when three masked men attempted to break into Paws late at night.Thankfully they were deterred and were scared off when one of our managers came running down the garden screaming at them after she spotted them on the CCTV cameras. Who knows what they were attempting to steal or do but this is a grave reality of the rise in dog theft in Ireland and how no one is safe, not even the rescue dogs.

PAWS have been advised to increase our security. This means upgrading our CCTV, erecting fencing and upgrading security lights. This is unavoidable in order to protect the vulnerable dogs in our care. They have already suffered enough in their short lives without enduring any more at the hands of criminals.

As you know from our recent posts regarding the effect covid 19 and lockdowns have had on the fundraisers PAWS so heavily relies on each year. Funds are low because all fundraising events have been cancelled since March 2020 due to restrictions but as this work is essential to keep the dogs safe, we must ask for help.  We understand that everyone is struggling but please donate anything you can afford. Thank you.

Pleass find the gofundme link below if you can donate anything at all, we would be very grateful.
