Success Stories – Sophie

4th July 2022

This time last year, a painfully emaciated white lurcher came into PAWS. She had been found straying not far from the rescue.

It was unclear if she had been straying for a while with no access to food or water or if she had been kept somewhere and then abandoned. Her paws were worn and had urine scalds which suggests she was kept locked up somewhere. We may never know but we were glad she was in our care when she was handed in by her finders.

She was named Sophie. With months of veterinary care and lots of TLC, the gorgeous Sophie blossomed in our care.

Like many sighthounds in Irish rescue, she was adopted abroad. She is now living her best life in Italy and is absolutely adored by her owners.

We want to take this opportunity to thank YOU our supporters, without YOU we could not continue our work to help those that cannot help themselves. These updates and success stories are the cases that help to keep us going. You’re safe now Sophie.
